Bottle shared by SpringsLicker on 1/26/07: Pours a transparent golden bronze with a thin ring of wispy white head. Pale grainy malty aroma has some honey notes. Body starts fairly thin and uninteresting with a touch of honey and grainy malt along with some butterscotch.

Draft at brewpub. Clear amber with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Light hoppy aroma. Light to medium body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of moderate duration. Nice soft starter brew.

Draft 4 oz sample at the brewpub, 10/23/06: Golden with a big white head. Musty aroma. Very biscuity, yet smooth with a bit of a bitter finish. Not bad, not great.

Sampled at the Odds and Ends Tasting on 8/16/06: Pours clear golden with a thin off-white head that is gone almost immediately. Minimal lacing. Light sweet honey aroma. Light-bodied with a grainy, off bitter flavor and very little honey. The finish is mildly bitter and short. Could be better.

Yellow, no head. So it looked OK. Smells like butter and honey, which may sound appealling, but not when applied to beer. Taste is is...um...how can a beer be both sour an buttery? So, so many things wrong here. This was the first beer of the Knoxville tasting, so we’re kinda establishing a baseline here. No where to go but up.

Smells like honey. A light flavor that isn’t that wheaty. The honey gives it an appearance of strength. It coats the mouth too. Decent. Pleasantly surprised.

12oz bottle pours golden with a fair white head that stays well and laces some. Aroma of honey, grains, light lemon, and a touch of yeast. Very similar flavors. Lots of yeast, honey, grain, and light grassy hops on the finish. Medium bodied and quite drinkable.
