Commercial Description:
Specially kilned Crystal malt and a generous portion of American cascade hops are used for a refreshing, spicy aroma, and a long, dry finish. Great with food, it’s big, bold, and bittersweet. Named best beer in Ohio and winner of a Bronze Medal in the World Beer Championships. Four Stars-Great Lakes Beer Guide.

12 oz bottle, courtesy of sfontain (thanks!). Bright dark copper, translucent, medium lasting head. Citrusy, caramelly-hoppy nose, hints of must and rotting wood. On the tongue, not quite so interesting, but very quaffable, with a decent maltiness upfront and light but longlasting piney bitter finish. Pretty good all in all, could be a little fuller-bodied.

Pours a half-inch white head that quickly disappears, reddish orange beer. Almost no lacing. Flowery/citrusy and spicy aroma. Light and crisp with a bitter, hoppy--though not overwhelming--finish. Not much malt at all, though. I got this in Columbus near my girlfriend's house 800 miles from here; a good American ale, but I probably won't be buying it again. If this is your style, though, you definitely should give this a shot.

Nice light brown ale leads the CBC chorale. Thin wispy head with decent lacing. Nice cascade hop aroma. Good body and moderate carbonation. Leaves a spicy finish. This goes great with their pork sandwich.

Little surprised this wasn't rated higher. Dark orange or bronze colored, transluscent. Aroma is mix of malt and pine. I think this beer is very balanced Pale. Dry finish. I liked this one.

Nice copper hue with a white foamy head and good lace. Faint aroma of crisp fruity hops and roasted malt. The taste is piney and bitter but some malt presence did creep through however. Pretty smooth and balanced. Thin and weak metallic finish. Very average APA, quaffable but not something I would seek out, thanks to JSquire for the bottle.

Pours thin with very little head, cloudy orange in color. Taste is unremarkable with clean finish; great with food I'll buy, but big and bold--Hardly.

Copper color with a slight head. Not too bad. Some hops but not a lot. I was hoping more. A pretty smooth pale ale. Like Rockinout said, nothing too extreme.
