Commercial Description:
Specially kilned Crystal malt and a generous portion of American cascade hops are used for a refreshing, spicy aroma, and a long, dry finish. Great with food, it’s big, bold, and bittersweet. Named best beer in Ohio and winner of a Bronze Medal in the World Beer Championships. Four Stars-Great Lakes Beer Guide.

Draft at the brewpub, 10/23/06: Amber with a sheen and lightly adhesive head. Tangy and malty with a nice orange-rind bite at the end.

Fruity. Some apricot in the aroma. Might be from the apricot ale they brew. Good medium body and a bit sour/tart in the finish.

Not too bad of a brew, to be honest. It wasn’t knock you off your barstool good but it had all the basic implications of a pale ale that hit me the right ways. Word.

10/7/06: Bottle.
Rich hop nose with a hint of brown sugar. Body is a nice, deep amber color. Minimal head, no lace. Flavors include brown sugar, spice and fir tree. Bitter finish.

This pale ale pours a copper color from a 12oz bottle. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel. citrus and floral. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are caramel and fruity. Hops are citrusy and floral. Nice balance. This is kind of your typical standard tasting American Pale Ale, not that there is anything wrong with that. Nice hop bite. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp, Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Beautiful reddish brown hue but the after taste is a little strong. Retained the efferestence for a long time
