Thanks to OhioDad for the bottle. alcoholica (128), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 17, 2005 Pours a dark amber color with a decent head that fizzled away after a few minutes. Smells of sweet malt, fruit and Flowery hops. Nice bitter hop bite, I can dig this beer. Full of hops and sweet malt, but mostly hops. If your not a fan of hops you won’t like this. For me the more bitter the better.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2005 Bottle from OhioDad. Pours clean mahagony with a small rocky off-white film and spotty lacing. Fragrant floral hop and pine aroma, resiny with a medium roasted caramel malt (cookie) and citrus rind nose. Heavy bitter and acidic floral hop resin and rind spicy flavor that goes dry with a caramel malt body. Medium bodied and dry palate. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 2, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with OhioDad, thanks Scott!) A pleasant grapefruit aroma bursts forth when I first pour the beer, but that diminishes greatly within a few minutes, gradually degrading into a somewhat vegetal aroma. Solidly citrusy hoppiness shows lots hops flavor and a moderate bitterness. Very gently roasty malts provide a base for the hops, but again, a slight vegetal flavor lurks in the background. Body is medium, with a reasonably clean and crisp mouthfeel and a lingering bitterness. The clear dark amber body is quite nice, and is initially capped by half an inch of off-white head. A few splotchy patches of lace are left on the glass as I drink the beer and the head recedes to a wide ring. Not a great beer, but certainly the best of the bottled Columbus beers I’ve tried so far. Aroma is feint, hops and some sweet fruit. Flavor is piney hops, bitter and earthy. Dry hoppy finish to it. Thanks Heemer. hopdog (5590), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2005 Bottle acquired in trade with OhioDad (thanks!). This one poured all head (7 finger head vs. 1 finger of beer). When the head finally died down, poured a medium and lightly hazy brownish/amber color with the huge off white head. Small floaters. Aromas of light grapefruit, flowers and with some caramel. Tastes of oranges, grapefruit, and caramel. Lightly bitter with a light sweet balance. IndianaRed (1555), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2005 Bottle pours a deep clear mahogany with a huge fluffy light tan head. This may have been due to the glass being frozen. Sweet slightly acidic almost lemony aromas, not much hops apparent. The malt flavors are pale a bit drap and woody. Lke an old basement but not objectionable. Still not much bittering, fairly unballanced in this area I’d say. Still, tasty and easy to put down. Very lively carbonation and a moderate feel. Thanks to Ohiodad for this one. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2005 OHIOHDAD, THANKS! I got a huge head off this amber body. This head would not quit, creamy and tan and foamy. Nose was malty and hoppy and earth. The taste was hops, and balanced malts, but the finish was watery.
