Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Aug 5, 2009 Pours gold with a white head. Smells of earth, tea, some caramel. Tastes perfumy and spicy with an earthy finish. Enjoyable. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden orange with a nice head. Smells of malt and floral, spicy hops. Tastes bready, pine, and a slight citrus, tangerine maybe. Pretty good stuff. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Feb 22, 2009 2/182009: CBC Pale Ale has a beautiful, sunny orange color with a lasting frothy beige head. The aroma and flavor are both fresh and showcase the citrusy, floral, and slightly resiny hops accompanied by just a tough of toffee maltiness. This beer is smooth and soft on the palate which helps make it quite sessionable. This accompanied my dinner of liver and onions quite nicely...
Draught at Cap City Diner in Gahanna,Ohio. Rating #92 for this beer.
joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Nov 20, 2008 golden brown with decent white head. Not much malt in this one, a little too bitter, but a decent hop flavor. An average at best ipa 1010 (206), Marysville, Ohio, USA Sep 13, 2008 On tap at the Columbus Microbrew Festival. Pours a cloudy gold color. This beer has a nice hops taste. Good beer. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle courtesy poonpillager. Pours a clear copper with a small off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, bready malt, floral hops, and a hint of caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness. Good. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA Jun 19, 2008 Bottle. Dark amber body, caramel nose with slight fruity notes, big off-white head. Brown sugar, caramel, hints of fruit, hardly any hop character, mild to moderate bitterness. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA May 11, 2008 5-12-08 bottle
Clear amber red with a thin whitish head and super tiny lacing. Smell is light and a little hoppy and not horrible - I would just like it a bit more vibrant or loud. Flavor is okay - has a presence of hops but it is though they are standing over in the corner alone and almost like they aren’t there. Palate is really really carbonated.
