cartel99 (19), Ohio, USA May 5, 2001 Simply put, this is a wonderful Pale Ale. It has a flowery hop aroma and a sharp, clean taste. If you’re ever in Columbus, don’t pass up one of these. daliles99 (6), USA does not count Sep 11, 2001 I have to agree definitely one of the better pale ales out there. tallmatt67 (99), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jan 27, 2006 bottled. Lovely rich amber, crystal clear with dense head. Nice caramel and vienna malt aroma, subtle citrusy ester aroma. Great clean malt taste with rich caramel and vienna following through from the nose. Moderate carbonation makes for a smooth finish with firm bitterness. Thoroughly enjoyable. alcoholica (129), Dublin, Ohio, USA Nov 17, 2005 Pours a dark amber color with a decent head that fizzled away after a few minutes. Smells of sweet malt, fruit and Flowery hops. Nice bitter hop bite, I can dig this beer. Full of hops and sweet malt, but mostly hops. If your not a fan of hops you won’t like this. For me the more bitter the better.
GO BUCKS! BEAT MICHIGAN! ultraspank (856), Dublin, Ohio, USA Jun 10, 2002 Had a few bottles of this tonight after sex (who needs cigarettes?). This brew pours a
clear ruddy orange. The large off-white head is creamy, tight and fully lasting (like the
woman I just finished pulling out of). The lacing is fair. The fresh aroma (I love these
non-pasteurized brews) is sweet caramel and toasted malt, citrus, and spice (sweet
peppery grapefruit). The well balanced flavor has plenty of complexity. It starts sweet
with a pleasant sour middle, and a long bitter finish (a great representative of the style).
Acidity is kept to a minimum. The medium body is dry and lively with a very clean finish.
Excellent!! It doesn’t hurt that I’m a huge fan of APA’s. It’s hard to believe something
this good is brewed right up the road. I need to visit their brewpub VERY soon!
