thehurt01 (135), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 3, 2008 A 22 oz bottle with a cool label. the beer pours a slighty cloudy gold with a monster white crisp head. The smell is malt with some spices that i cant place. The taste is smooth with a nice hops and mint flavor. Good carbonation. patrick767 (1449), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 28, 2008 22oz bottle - Pours hazy light yellow with a big white head. It smells of spice and a touch of citrus. The flavor is heavily spiced with maybe nutmeg and clove among other spices. There’s also some orange zest in there. The light malt flavors are kind of buried under all that spice. The palate is light and bubbly. it’s certainly different and isn’t bad though I wish the beer under all that spice was more assertive. noncaloric (100), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 28, 2008 Summary: The lager is almost lost amongst the spices. Aroma: Somewhat faint. Orange peel, vanilla, hay. Appearance: Hazy, pale straw-colored pour, enormous white head, abundant lace. Flavor: A mouthful of the suds is deliciously yeasty, but the liquid itself is all spices and very little beer. Cardamon, lemon zest, and general bitterness form the front; finishes yeasty. Palate: Generally watery, warming at the finish. Hangover (681), Atlanta, USA Sep 27, 2008 Cloudy yellow-gold pour with a huge and lasting white head. Nice spicy aroma with some light citrus. Peppery, spicy flavor with some ginger, lemon and maybe some clove. Medium bodied, good carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Spicy finish. Pretty unique and tasty! jstraw (466), Oak Park, Illinois, USA Sep 24, 2008 Cloudy straw color with good, creamy white head / LIght, vegetal and citrus nose / Light to medium body, creamy with balanced malts and hops, some sweetness, and good, dry finish / Light flavors of lemon and orange, with white pepper and herbal notes / A well made beer, but just not an especially appealing flavor profile.
