BorksBabe (79), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2008 Aroma is of corn and spices. Appears a cloudy, golden yellow with a thick, bubbly head. Very apparent flavors of Ginger, barley, and maybe some carrot. Thin palate. Overall not horrible.
blipp (937), Grand Island, New York, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Malty aroma with spicy notes. The flavor is a muddles mess of herbs and spices. I keep on focusing on black licorice. It really isn’t a bad beer but I don’t exactly love black licorice. Tmoney99 (3720), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 18, 2008 Bottle from Crown #19.
Poured a hazy yellow color with an above average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate lemon citrus and spice aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet&sour flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
I would recommend this refreshing beer to a friend. Collint (361), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Oct 30, 2008 Bottle, pours a hazy yellow beer with a thin head. aroma is sweet yeast and citrus lemon. Light hops with a decent share of spices. not my favorite but good. jimhilt (1461), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Oct 28, 2008 Pours a five finger white head that fades quickly to a ring, leaving traces of lace. Murky light amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Slight orange peel nose. Flavor is honey and spicy with the hops muted. $4.99 for a 22oz bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT. Ughsmash (3148), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 27, 2008 Bomber. Poured clear, very pale golden with lots of rising carbonation and a fizzy cap of white head. The aroma was decidedly spicy, but I had trouble placing ’em.. some mint, spruce, and jasmine perhaps?.. sweet backing of pale malts and honeysuckle.. interesting. The flavor followed suit with bright, lively spices first and foremost (think I may be on to something with the spruce).. minty and refreshing finish.. pale backing left a little honey at the end. Medium-bodied and again spicy on the palate.. high carbonation made it a little hard to drink at times.. still quite an experience overall.
