Malty aroma with spicy notes. The flavor is a muddled mess of herbs and spices. I keep on focusing on black licorice. It really isn’t a bad beer but I don’t exactly love black licorice. Poured a hazy yellow color with an above average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate lemon citrus and spice aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet&sour flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
I would recommend this refreshing beer to a friend. Collint (465), Sylva, North Carolina, USA

Poured clear, very pale golden with lots of rising carbonation and a fizzy cap of white head. The aroma was decidedly spicy, but I had trouble placing ’em.. some mint, spruce, and jasmine perhaps?.. sweet backing of pale malts and honeysuckle.. interesting. The flavor followed suit with bright, lively spices first and foremost (think I may be on to something with the spruce).. minty and refreshing finish.. pale backing left a little honey at the end. Medium-bodied and again spicy on the palate.. high carbonation made it a little hard to drink at times.. still quite an experience overall. HighlanderOne (546), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Poured from bottle. Wheat, nutmeg, grape in the aroma. Cloudy white, persistent head. Pepper, nutmeg, basil, vanilla, banana, and other undetermined spices and herbs in the flavor. Borders on being medissimal. Watery feel - could use more malt. A bit hairy at the end. Needs refinement. JPDIPSO (4939), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Light hazy straw color with a dissipating white head. With a little more observation the haze is more small particles in suspension that do not seem to be disturbed by the bubbles rising up through. Aromas of wheat, vanilla and light spice. Scents of a somewhat boring morning bun. Quite zippy in feel, nearly too much so. Hints of wheat with a rather abrupt switch to white pepper. A very light Blonde ale with a dose of spices. This seems well suited for a hot summer day. Still could use a bit more backbone. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Bottle. The bottle had a 2-inch layer of yeast at the bottom. Hazy amber beer with a cream colored head. Mineral and light spice aroma with a bit of dirt. Strange ginger spice flavor with malt and some pineapple. Medium body. Pineapple lingers with mineral notes, grain, and ginger.
