Lots of cherry and chocolate in the flavor profile, boozy and not terribly metallic. Oily mouth. Beats some of the other wierd stuff from this brewery. rcasta (489), El Salvador

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 20, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent typically carbonated copper brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish vinous aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of caramel vinous brown malt crystal and red malts. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. Ernest (4499), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark amber.
Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie), lightly hoppy (apricot), with notes of overripe banana, toffee, orange.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic.
Doesn’t smell too bad, but it isn’t much fun to drink...very sweet with an unpleasant sour twang. Syrupy, boozy in the mouth. No thanks. marcus (1885), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2009 This clear brown ale poured with a thin beige head and a strong raisin aroma. There is a sweet toffee flavor with plenty of spices and chocolate. It turns a little bitter and peppery at the finish, and there is a light alcohol trail.
