tomthompson89 (1459), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 3, 2008 interesting beer hazy golden color, decent white foam, nose is hoppy and grassy with some grainey pale malt in there too. flavor is similar with some intresting alcohol and resin flavors Good beer blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours gold with a fluffy white head. Well balanced aroma with nice sweet hoppy notes. The flavor is nothing spectacular but it is well balanced, with grassy hoppy notes. Decent. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 20, 2008 On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Pours a pretty nondescript medium yellow. Pretty long lasting wheat head. Mild aroma with some malt sweetness. Bitterness hits you right up front. Similar to higher ABV lagers in Prague. Grassy piney hops linger on the palate. pretty good beer gsmitty80 (628), Washington DC, USA Nov 20, 2008 This very much had the feel of a belgian strong ale. It was very light and crisp with high alcohol and florals. There was also some cirtus, i think lemon. Worth another try, because, i confess, i didnt finish the first one before it became fuel for the drain...again not because it was bad but because i was done drinking. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Oct 22, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Light malt aroma with light earth amd light mineral. Malt flavor with resiny bitterness and grass and ending in a bit of a metallic note. Medium body. Resin lingers with metallic, grass, and plastic notes. porter4porter (32), Florida, USA Oct 22, 2008 pours light golden color, nice pine hops balanced by a malt sweetness, good beer frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 22, 2008 Updated: Oct 24, 2008Pours golden/amber with nary a head and just a faint suggestion of carbonation. Sweetbread aroma with honey. The ’8 hops’ which are mentioned must have been added early in the boil since there are few which reach the nose. A steady bitterness awaits in the flavor, however, and interacts pleasantly with lightly sweetened grains. Mostly pine and pepper over a lingering grapefruit and honeyed toast. And the bitterness lingers long with mild astringence. I would not have guessed the style as an European Strong excepting that there are few other lager categories which could corral this brew.
Rating #1800. No reason. Just another beer to enjoy while I’m waiting for a MMORPG to populate on the other computer.

craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Oct 19, 2008 tasting at GDBTF on 10/18/08. golden color. bitter for a lager... but a bit flat for me overall. some citrus in the nose. for a lager, it drinks like an ale... which is nice.
