Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 25, 2008 Bonus appearance point for the cool label. Dark gold/orange, with a thin white head. rye bread toast aroma. Flavor is also rye-ish, with a crisp, peppry finish. guzzler67 (1272), Hanover, Maryland, USA Aug 23, 2008 Hazy gold appearance with a medium size, off white head and good lacing. Spicy, herbal hop aroma with a whiff of soap on the backside. Slightly tinny taste, with resinous hops and sweet, earthy malts. Bitter, lasting finish. Small shortcomings keep getting in the way of full enjoyment. daknole (2810), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 22, 2008 tap at Brother Tuckers. Golden pour wtih a small whitish head. Hops and malts hit the nose and surprisingly enough some big time hops hit the tongue. Better than I expected. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Aug 21, 2008 22oz bottle. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Aug 19, 2008 Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells of citrus, grassy, wildflowers, spice, dry malt, earthy. Tastes spicy and of caremel with some dry malty hints and some nice bitter hints on the finish. I’ve enjoyed this entire series so far and look forward to Freaktoberfest. LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Aug 16, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours clear amber in color with thin white head. Aroma sweet and citrus hops. Taste grapefruit, citrus hops and sweet with bitter finish. alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle; poured a very clear gold color with a small, but compact head. Aroma was smooth and clean; slightly toasted malt, herbs, grass wint some citrus notes in the end. Flavor reminded me of an extra strong pils. Sweet malt gives way to a hoppy finish; hops were on the herbal side/dry hopping. Palate had a hint of creaminess; nice and smooth. Solid and enjoyable beer.
