Aug 27, 2008 Deep golden color with a moderate, bigger bubbled head of light beige bubbles that diminishes slowly to a ring around the glass. Hints of herbal hops with some caramel and a bit of alcohol in the nose. Mild sweet toasted malt in the front. Herbal hops in the middle Touches of alcohol let you know this is a formidable lager. Fairly dry finish with a touch of pepper and bitterness. Linger is slow and a mild toasted malt flavor gradually returns. Palate is crisp and clean. A strong oktoberfest type brew. A good fall brew. Palate is crisp and clean.

Aug 25, 2008 Dark gold body with a lightly off white head. The aroma was rich grapefruit and pine. A nice background of gingerbread backs up the hoppy character. The taste some grapefruit and notes of earthy root vegetables, parsnips, maybe. The finish is fairly spicy. One of the few very hoppy lagers that I really enjoyed.

Caramel malt aroma. Light hops.
The initial malt sweetness quickly gives way to a soft, yet firm hop bitterness that provides a soft, dry, hop finish.

Aug 25, 2008 Bonus appearance point for the cool label. Dark gold/orange, with a thin white head. rye bread toast aroma. Flavor is also rye-ish, with a crisp, peppry finish.

Aug 23, 2008 Hazy gold appearance with a medium size, off white head and good lacing. Spicy, herbal hop aroma with a whiff of soap on the backside. Slightly tinny taste, with resinous hops and sweet, earthy malts. Bitter, lasting finish. Small shortcomings keep getting in the way of full enjoyment.

Aug 22, 2008 tap at Brother Tuckers. Golden pour wtih a small whitish head. Hops and malts hit the nose and surprisingly enough some big time hops hit the tongue. Better than I expected.

Aug 21, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours amber with a creamy white head, good lace. Smells metallic hoppy and semi-sweet caramelly malty. Medium, syrupy body with good carbonation.
