Apr 18, 2009 This is the first time I’ve tried something from Mendocino Brewing Company. Definitely not your everyday lager. The first thing I smell and taste is what I believe is either a cascade or a victory hop. Poured very nicely, with almost a golden Belgian-like Hefe hue, with little head. Very refreshing but not what I would call a grand slam. More points for originality.

Apr 8, 2009 Bouteille de 22 oz achetée chez Knighlty Spirits (Orlando, FL). Arôme: Légère odeur d’houblons. Apparence: La couleur est blonde pâle avec une moyenne densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de céréales et d’houblons. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence d’agrumes en arrière goût. (Rating #2305)

Mar 28, 2009 Bottle. Clear amber with a thick, slightly yellowish head. Nice complex, but mostly grassy and piney hop aroma. Some toffee soothening the bitter hop impact. Certainly bitter, but maybe somewhat unbalanced.

Mar 24, 2009 22 oz Bomber from Mint in Ttown. I got a huge head from this pour. The hoppy flavor came wafting into my nose. Very flavorful and it went well with chinese food.
I liked this beer!

Mar 21, 2009 Another odd lager from the Shmaltz folks. This 22 oz bomber pours a hazy medium orange with a small offwhite head. Faint lacing. Aroma is resinous pine hops with a hint of lemon rind. Thin on the palate. Taste has bitter and coarse earthy hops with hints of lemon rind and pine. Not a lot of balance here. Not one I would care to try again.

Mar 14, 2009 Dark gold pour with small head. Nose was earth, grass and hops. Flavor was malts and hops...not bad.

Mar 8, 2009 Blah. Not terrible like most of the style. but not very good. Aroma was average. Earthy hops in both the aroma and taste. The pour was a nasty dirty looking blond with no head. Nice carbonation. Had a dusty old flavor.

Mar 3, 2009 Bottle from Vintage Cellars. Nice dark golden color with a small head. smell was grassy, and has a bitter after taste.. Very well balanced not too overpowering with hops. also had a nice caramel sweetness. The more I drank the more it grew on me. Cool label too
