Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a 2 finger creamy white head that has great retention. Aroma is citrus and grassy hops, buttered sourdough toast, soda heavy biscuits, a hint of sweet grain. Flavor is toasty, grassy, and slightly fruity first, then more toast, straw, lots of pine and citrus, a little honey and an unexpected but enjoyable fruitiness that was totally unexpected. Finish is herbal, sweet floral and bitter/grapefruit hops with a sweet red grapefruit fade. Palate opens slick and sweet, ends fairly dry, kind of straddles the line between dry and too dry on the finish. I really enjoyed this one, it’s kind of freaky in a good way.

Bottle from utobeer in Blackfriars. Alround rating: Good pale lager malts, biscuity yet richer than usual, piney citrus lightly herbal hop over balance it to the bitter side. Excellent stuff!

Nose heavy on the hops. Floral and piney. Very dry beer, with resiny hop flavors in the front. Some soft maltiness in the beer as well, but is otherwise kinda thin. Metallic finish was noticeable, and reminded me that this was just another lager, albeit much better than usual.

Draft at The Gate. After a Flower Power, I didn’t think I’d get much hoppiness outta this but I do. Nice amount of floral hops and some sweet caramel blend together. One of the whole Shmaltz beers that you can drink a few of.

vegetable aroma and light color with white head this brew looks all lemony with again a white foamy head. much as i like the color it usually spells mediocre beer but this brew is named well and has a nice steel hop flavor. clean flavors and well bodied. light malt character refreshing and a hop heads quencher.

Purchased a single 22-oz bomber at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear golden amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, some light pear, grassy hops, and a hint of citrus. Taste is light to medium bodied, flavors of golden multi-grain with some wheat, light fruit, citrus and yeast. Finish is semi-sweet with a light bitter and metallic texture aftertaste.

Bomber. Poured clear orange-tinted golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up orange, grapefruit, and perfumey hoppage over honey and pale malty sweetness.. there was a rather assertive spicy warmth that gave a barley-wine lite impression that I dug. The flavor opened with that same spicy character that paired with citrus and floral bitterness.. sticky-sweet pale malts at the core supported well.. finished bitter and warm. Medium-bodied with low-to-moderate carbonation on the palate.. kept me interested.

My bottle (650ml) shared with tupalev. Shared with tupalev after a tasting, after the rest of the gang went home. Needless to say I was feeling pretty good so my notes will take some deciphering. Pours a clear yellow-orange with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of a sweet hoppy Lager. Flavour’s malty along with some resiny hops. Average bitter finish. Good body for the style. Pretty good.
