| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 16, 2008 Bottle; poured a very clear gold color with a small, but compact head. Aroma was smooth and clean; slightly toasted malt, herbs, grass wint some citrus notes in the end. Flavor reminded me of an extra strong pils. Sweet malt gives way to a hoppy finish; hops were on the herbal side/dry hopping. Palate had a hint of creaminess; nice and smooth. Solid and enjoyable beer. Kinz (2221), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Medium, clear gold, creamy, long lasting white head, quite attractive. Aroma was a big shot of hops, mostly floral, but with quite a bit of spice and faint tropical notes. Lightly biscuity malts are dominated by another shock of hops, this time with some grapefruit notes mixing in with the floral and spice character. I think blind tasting, I would have picked this as an IPA without thinking about it. Not bad, but at one point while drinking it, I actually wondered if it might actually be too hoppy. Possibly the first time that thought has ever entered my mind. DYCSoccer17 (2201), Davis, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 4, 2008 22 ounce bottle purchased from the Davis Food Co-Op. Sweet, sugary, candy-like aroma with some mild floral hoppiness as well as a bit of sweet orange citrus. Transparent golden body with a large, pillowy, white head. Nice lacing and good fortitude from the head. Starts a little sweet, before this one becomes very spicy, very herbal. Has some light doughiness in the body, before if it finishes minty with a significant, bitter, dry hoppiness. Grapefruity. A assault of hops. willblake (2191), Belcamp, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2008 20081208 Bomber from Spirits on Sunset. hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is light and fruity with crisp apple notes, just cut apples, not the juice or musty cider, fresh grape, light graininess, hay, celery tops. Body is medium to full with light, coating eff and a biting finishing astringency. Celery also in flavor, cut grass, apple skins, grassy hop burps. Distant, oceany brine. Long lingering hop bitterness on the back of the palate reminds of eating bitter greens. Unusual stuff but I like it. zach8270 (2138), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2009 (bottle - 22 oz) Lightly hazy amber pour with a very thin white head. Aroma is light and sweet with some very subtle hints of hops and flowers. Very large hop bitterness begins the flavor with a lot of floral and citrus notes. A good peppery bitterness and spicy flavor in the middle that goes to a very bitter and lingering finish. Not what I was expecting from the aroma at all. SSSteve (2105), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
