Feb 17, 2009 Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a 2 finger creamy white head that has great retention. Aroma is citrus and grassy hops, buttered sourdough toast, soda heavy biscuits, a hint of sweet grain. Flavor is toasty, grassy, and slightly fruity first, then more toast, straw, lots of pine and citrus, a little honey and an unexpected but enjoyable fruitiness that was totally unexpected. Finish is herbal, sweet floral and bitter/grapefruit hops with a sweet red grapefruit fade. Palate opens slick and sweet, ends fairly dry, kind of straddles the line between dry and too dry on the finish. I really enjoyed this one, it’s kind of freaky in a good way.

Dec 1, 2009 It has a hazy yellow-orange color with a fluffy white head. The aroma is mostly citrus hops and grass. The taste is bitter, but with all the hops staying on the roof while your tongue stays mostly clean.

Dec 4, 2009 22oz bomber. Pours a tawdry gold with little to no head, minimal lacing. Nose is surprisingly malty, with strong bread and cereal notes and a resiny, piney hop quality normally associated with IPAs. Mouthfeel is full and prickly, with strong ctiric hop flavors and a long powerful tannic bitterness. Really the only clue this is a lager is the clean finish, as the beer in all other aspects doesn’t much fit the definition of standard strong lager. Taken on its own merit, however, I found it relatively enjoyable.

Aug 6, 2008 Glistens golden in the afternoon sunlight, crowned by a slim but sturdy white head. Uber-fresh grain aroma signals a sturdy malt backbone. Cereal is brightened by lively, leafy hop. Very nice crisp dry finish. Alcohol is noticeable--a punchy brew. Long-lasting hoppiness at end. We really need more hopped up lagers like this!

Mar 24, 2009 22 oz Bomber from Mint in Ttown. I got a huge head from this pour. The hoppy flavor came wafting into my nose. Very flavorful and it went well with chinese food.
I liked this beer!

Sep 22, 2008 22oz bottle. Nice looking beer, dark gold with a nice white head. Nice hoppy aroma. Full hop flavor, real nice for a lager. Pretty good.

May 8, 2009 Draft at Redlight. Tart aroma of citrus and other fruits. Thin mouthfeel with a nice hoppy punch and enough sweetness to balance. Light and refreshing for a full flavored beer.
