Pours a dark golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma is light grassy hop, grainy pale malt. Flavour is full bodied toasty malt, some earthy-grassy hop combinations. Slight alc sourness in the finish. A good strong lager with only minor flaws.

Bottle from Once Upon a Vine on 07/03/2008. Very clear golden body with a medium frothy off-white head. Grassy aroma with light malty hints. Light maltiness, some grassy and spicy hops, with a fairly sweet finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a sweet sticky finish.

A Mes rate. Draught at the Rake.
An attractive orange gold colour with a thin white head and plenty of lace. Good fruity hops with a pleasant biscuit malt base. Nice and dry. Good bitterness with a faint resinous sting in the finish. Very straight forward but very pleasant overall.

Bottle. Poured amber with a creamy off-white head that left light lace. Hoppy aroma with a light malt backing. The flavor finds hoppy citrus with a caramel background. Medium body, medium bitterness throughout, smooth texture. Pretty decent.

Bottle from Vintage Cellars. Nice dark golden color with a small head. smell was grassy, and has a bitter after taste.. Very well balanced not too overpowering with hops. also had a nice caramel sweetness. The more I drank the more it grew on me. Cool label too

Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, orange, grass notes, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20090802]

22 oz. bottle pours a clear amber with big fluffy off white head that quickly dissipates, leaving a strong weave of lacing. Aroma is hoppy with a strong push of raw bud. Front, middle and finish palate is of hops. Hops, hops and more hops with a really bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied which is good because if it were much heavier, it would be way too much with the hops. Fantastic for a summer day and this thing will stand up to a hearty meal. Try Spaghetti with spicy meatballs, a nice lasagna or even a strong caesar salad. This will do very nicely.

Pours a clear, medium-golden color. A small, foamy white head leaves random spotting behind. The nose gives off notes of dry cereal grains, grassy hops, faint lemon zest, and a hint of resinous pine. Flavors are very crisp, with the neutral, grainy background allowing the strong, grassy hop punch to shine. The lemon note, however small it is, really adds a much needed bright element. Medium-plus bodied, well carbonated, and semi-dry. Reminiscent of a hoppy Bohemian Pils, this beer is surprisingly really good. Refreshing, and very drinkable on a hot summer day.
