(50 cl bottle at Haket, Göteborg)
Pours with a nice welcoming deep clucking sound to begin with.
Clear at first pour, turns shady during the second pour due to sediment from bottle conditioning.
Color is deep golden and the firm lasting head is white and inviting.
Subtle hoppy, fruity and also metallic scent.
Fruity and bitter taste, very drinkable but rather subtle still.
Medium to a bit thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
Purchased on December 12, 2007.

2nd beer of the Barleycorns beer tasting. It was a decent bitter, but following the Otter Head, it didn’t make quite as much of an impact. The aroma is pleasantly floral, and the beer is slightly paler in color than most bitters. The balance is leaned slightly more toward hop bitterness, definitely lacking the malt background in most of its style peers. Overall, a short finish makes for an easy pub-pint.

Bottle. Light amber body, white head, floral nose. Balanced floral and malt body, mild bitterness. A quaffer.

Pours a light gold with a tight disapearing white head, Aroma features loads of sulfur with a moderate tangy citric goldings character. On the palate there is plenty of resinious hop which gives way to sweet nutty malt with a hint of stewed barley which builds on the palate as you drink finally becoming unpleasent. Good clean bitter finish.

Orange hue. Chalky nose with distinct honey aroma. Small disappearing head. Lightly carbonated with orange taste. Chewy malt mouthfeel. A nice hoppy bitter that is not remarkable but very well balanced.

1/27/05. 500ml. Orange gold with large rocky white head. Aroma floral with caramel and honeysuckle. Taste bitter malty and not very clean. Somewhat muddied.
