Flavor is pretty malty and barely any hops, some citrus and fruit flavors. More like an amber ale than a bitter. I let this warm up and suddenly am getting a very contaminated vinegar aroma. Not much of it in the flavor but definitely not well treated beer. Beers from the UK are rediculously frequently bad. Beershine (2710), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam

Fizzy head and carbonated (slightly harsh) mouthfeel. Decent taste but too thin. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

Extra smooth mouthfeel bready with a soft nutty finish followed by tingle of hop bitterness. Closest you can get to a cask ale without the real thing! sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Flavor, smooth, bready, thin body, light carbonation, some salty notes. The cask version was much better. nickspies (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Aroma not too pleasant...too dry...fair hop bittering...not much mouthfeel. Overall not a good bitter to have if you are trying the style for the first time. Beerlando (2334), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 2, 2007 Rated 8/2/07. Golden color with a snow white head that recedes to a thin film. Thick lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma is very faint....almost non-existent, actually. The little bit that I can pick up is a grainy, toasty smell. The flavor is dry and bitter, just as expected. There is alot of grain in there, with a bland malt profile. On the watery side of medium bodied. Its so dry, it leaves the mouth longing for a glass of water. Boring, boring, boring. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia

Poured the large bottle into two glasses, looks very much like a lager to me. Golden orange with a cream head. Smell is of corn, hops. Taste is sweet and creamy, with an ok malt backbone. Nothing memorable about this beer, so I won’t write more. minch25 (357), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2007 I’ll give this my best shot despite having next to no experience with English style session ales. Pours golded with a shy white head of foam. Pleasant though unassertive aroma. Tasty grainy flavor with touches of flowery fruitiness. Comes off a little metallic in some bottles, but in general, this is superbly drinkable. Just goes right down the hatch like few others. Definitely worth checking out.
