Bottled. A bright golden orange coloured beer with a decent whitish coloured head. The aroma has good hop notes: oranges and pine. The taste again has a good dose of orange flavours from the hops. A very well brewed tasty beer. It does appear that beers brewed with Challenger are right up my street!

I have to admit that the quality is good, the bitterness is correct for the style, maybe it would be a Premium, but it was for me a little dissapointing, not refreshing not my style.

Big carbonation in this bitter, bubbles crowd the glass, beyond them, the brew seems a pale amber, under a light, white, soon-gone head. Yeasty nose, citric, speaking of lemon and a little orange, trickles of honey and herb... Taste: again, big carbonation, and citric flavor. Not much from malt or hops really, and a disappointment in the body department. Bit thin, and overloaded with that lemony feel. Light bodied, with a watery, slightly hoppy finish. Easy-going, though, tasty enough...but a bit blase’. Dull, even. I bet this is better across the pond. Not doing nothing for me, though.

Bottle. Golden amber body, small white head. Moderate hops, light earthy malt in aroma. Moderate bitterness throughout, pleasant malt foundation. Very typical English bitter, with a bit more hop character. Average palate.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Very fruity hoppy aroma with some hints of honey. Malty fruity flavor with some hints of honey and hops. Sweet malty finish with some bitterness.

Appearance: Brilliant copper with moderate off white head.. receding into a thin collar Aroma: Some caramel notes and definite grassy, spicy hop nose some yeast notes apparent Flavor:Starts off with a caramel (crystal malt) note which recedes to a nice rouded malt with perfect amount of bitterness showing with some spicy. I pick up some fruitiness.. I cant quite place it.. Mouthfeel: Medium light bodies with the perfect amount of carbonation... finishes with a nice long semi dry finish Overall: A very well made brew... great balance and restraint. THe crystal malt is more apparent to me... A very delightful easily drinkable bitter. The bottle I tried was a little tired so there were some card-board like notes...

Pours deep amber into an english pint. Bright white head slowly recedes. Caramel and bread aromas. Upfront is creamy dry malt with a medium lasting lightly hopped bitter finish.

Hepworth version, 50cl bottle, best before 2/11/06. It’s 6/15/06, so I guess I’m a bit late... Anyway, clear dark gold with a creamy white head. Nice lacing. Malty cookielike nose, some floral hop tones. Nicely balanced, with a lightly sweet malt flavor, a bit bready with a touch of yeast. Medium body. Finish is a pleasant medium bitter. Solid brew.
