The appearance was just ordinary. Looked like Gingerale as a matter of fact. I just sampled this, but it did not seem worth having. It was just weak. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 30, 2004 orange/gold pour with a dirty white head that stayed around a while and pretty good lacing. pungent floral aroma with some maltiness. I brought this bottle to a beer tasting and more than a few there agreed that the flavor had sour notes and reminded them of pickle juice - I thought the same thing. Bright hoppy finish but the salty/sour flavor never let go. Still looking forward the original Coniston. sloth (1672), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Lightly hazy copper colored brew. Lightly grassy, malty nose with some earthy and faint notes of oxydation. Med/light body. Dry, light grainy malt flavors with notes of citrus and a light grassiness. Finish is dry, lightly fruity. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2004 Bottle. Pours with thick white head. Not too highly carbonated. A dark gold with medium body balanced by the hops. This has more body than the cask version as it is 4.2% and cask is 3.6% I find this to be better balanced than the cask which I think is a bit thin. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 25, 2004 Pours a murky red/orange color. Small white head. Aroma of fresh hops, sawdust, and pine needles. Flavor is bitter and hoppy, has the aftertaste similar to "lambic barnyard". A decent brew. Thanks to Heemer for this one. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 24, 2004 Ho hum. Rust/orange color with hardly a head. The aroma was very faint but you could sense some sweetness, maltiness, hops. Felt weak and thin in the mouth. The flavor was expectedly bitter and some hint of spice. Drinkable but barely.
