Nov 24, 2004 Ho hum. Rust/orange color with hardly a head. The aroma was very faint but you could sense some sweetness, maltiness, hops. Felt weak and thin in the mouth. The flavor was expectedly bitter and some hint of spice. Drinkable but barely.

Oct 21, 2004 Dissapointment. Rich lite amber hue. Zero frothy stuff, or slight to say the least. Fruity for certain. Challenger hops remind me of dirt or the smell of barber shops. Very Green smelling. Not impressive. Flavors truly wrecked by an irony oxidized flavor that cuts through like a knife. Hops linger. Certainly bitter, but not in a inviting or exotic way. Homegriown might be the best word for this one and not in a good way. Natural carbonation is excellent though not all that dense. Palate is very weak amking ths brew sting like watery piss on my teeth. Noted burnt flesh characteristic. Not good really.

Oct 12, 2004 Purchased in a bottle, probably much better on cask. Very strange hop aroma, followed by and even odder hop taste. Very light tasting, as well as colored. Small head, diminished quickly, unusual after taste, almost lemony. Not as good as I had hoped, all in all a strong product.

Sep 18, 2004 I got lucky and landed a bottle in excellent shape. Light amber, beautiful, constant head and lacing, superb bottle conditioning. Aroma was a nice blend of slightly cooked caramel and floral bitter hops. Violet hops come out in the beginning, and give way to a very pleasant malt flavor. Nice drying bitterness on the finish. Well balanced, just very nicely done. I can see how this could be amazing on cask.

Sep 17, 2004 Light golden in color with a white head which disappears into a thin layer. Aroma has a slight lemon fruitiness. Flavor is a hint of lemon, sublte malt and a hop dryness. Mouthfeel is thin. A fine bitter

Sep 14, 2004 Light Golden Amber. It really does have a soft "fruitiness" with perhaps some "geranium." Great aftertaste. Very juicy and sweet. Quite enjoyable.

Sep 10, 2004 Bottle conditioned Decent bottled bitter with malt and some hops. Cask is obviously better, but this stands up well.
