This is the second english beer I really liked after the fullers Vintage. Sweet grapefruit aroma. Hazy, yellow/amber coloured with a thin white head. Taste is bitter, slightly sour and fruity. Bit thin palate. Very decent brew. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden

Has a mild flavor that is fruity but also sour from citrus. Hoppy with a slightly bitter finish. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 24, 2003 A pleasing & pleasant bitter that makes one long for the dank, musty darkness of an English Pub. Pours a radiant copper-gold with a slight-white lacy head. Tastes initially of sweet malts that are quickly overrun by strong, oatmealy hops. Grainy. Hops throughout. Not as "bitter" as one might hope! wunderbier (1271), Tampere, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 14, 2003 50 cL bottle, shaker glass, 55 degrees F. Small, tight, white, creamy head is lasting and sits on a deep orange-amber body that is moderately hazy. Cookie and grain malt (M); flowery hops (M); apple, white wine, and yes, geraniums. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter, moderately acidic flavor becomes a moderately bitter, moderately acidic finish. Slightly unclean, mineral aspect to the finish. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately astringent. The bottom line is: flowery hops, good; tasting like potting soil, bad. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 13, 2003 I had an absolutely terrible bottle. Totally flat and non-carbonated. Nothing about this beer was even worth writing about. I will buy another bottle and see if it was just the bottle.
