Ungstrup (11408), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 8, 2003 Updated: Nov 22, 2003An orange beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is slight but with sweet notes. The flavor is lovely bitter with some flowery and spicy notes. It is brewed on an OK malt and has an OK bitternes, that lingers. Fine, creamy head. Lovely - no wonderful - fruity nose from the aroma hops. Malty, almost fatty body with loads of caramel sweetness and delicate notes from the hops. Only slightly bitter. Very delicious. 040805 and 150906 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 22, 2000 Updated: Dec 30, 2004Brakspear version
This chalky tasting pint isn’t really all that bad, but they need to get off this ’champion beer of england’ marketing kick. there are a lot of champion beers of britain, and this really is not one of the better ones. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 17, 2006 Bottle.
Clear amber coloured with an off white ehad.
Aroma of malts, caramel and hops.
Flavour of malts, caramel, fruits and hops. oh6gdx (6348), Vaasa, Finland Aug 29, 2006 Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized creamy white head. A bit acidic and barnyardish hops in aroma. Flavour is harsh hayish hoppy. Also some apricot and other fruits. Not too good, felt unbalanced.
