Cask in Helsinki. Smooth, a bit malty, easy-drinking. The punch is in the finish, where all the hops arrive from the corners of the moth to dance on your tongue. This is a beer I’d love to spend all night drinking, too bad I had a plane to catch!

Cask @ Dilly Deli: Pours a slightly hazy rusty golden color with a fluffy off white head. Aroma, pale bready malts, some floral notes. Flavor, smooth, with some grainy malts, spicy and floral hop notes, a little nutty quality to it. Very smooth and easy to drink.

A pretty good way to bring up the 1000 I thought. A pint pulled at the brewery’s pub, The Black Bull Inn in Coniston itself (lake District). A shame the pint was pulled through a sparkler, taking a long time to settle to an amber with a tight white foamy head. A malty aroma with a strong flowery hop presence. A good bitter palate all the way through, flowery hops with an earthy malt background.

pulled straight from the black bull, coniston, lake district. easy to drink, easy to look at, easy to see why it won best bitter. Nice body, endless head, crystal clear gold, just a smooth sipping bitter, no more no less.

on a hand pump at the brackenrigg inn at Watermillock in the lake district. excellent brew, pulls almost an orangey colour in the glass and almost fizzes with life, clean white head that lingers all down the glass, powerful but at the same time restrained hops and a sweetness to the finish......drank with views of the Ullswater lake on a sunny spring day, with lunch from the pub too, what more could a man want

(cask @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Hazy gold color with a soapy white head. Aroma is smooth and bitter with some sweet malts mixed in. Flavor is very clean and bitter with a good amount of hops and a nice smooth and balanced finish. Very nice and easy to drink.

I love this beer. Golden coloured and hoppy on the palate, and a real good session bitter. I drank more than a few pints of this and no hangover in the morning!
