| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2004 On tap. Pours an inviting cloudy gold with a generous head. The aroma is a tad weak: it’s hard to pick out any specific scent from the lot. Flavors of citrus fruit and berry balance out a decent amount of hops, but the mouthfeel is very thin and leaves a lot to be desired. Worth a try, but don’t go out of your way for it. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2004 Draught at the Old Toad: Very nice English bitter. Mild aroma of fruit, butter, some bitter floral hops. Very smooth taste, caramel, light hops, a small amount of darker hops give it a nice bitter taste, and buttery notes and mild hops round out the beer. Smooth, crisp, excellent flavor. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA
