This helped me survive the week camping in Coniston while carring out my university dissertation on the coppermines up there. Wow, what a beer. Not liked it before when it has travelled a long way in cask - but at the home in consiton - its a difficult one to beat!

This was a beautifully balanced, flavoursome beer. I had the pleasure of sampling this from the brewery in Coniston and again in Ambleside. Hoppy and rich, yet easy to drink.

I love this beer. Golden coloured and hoppy on the palate, and a real good session bitter. I drank more than a few pints of this and no hangover in the morning!

Cask Conditioned at The Black Bull, Coniston, Cumbria. Light Golden amber with full head. Particularly hoppy spicy session bitter, refreshing and understated. Nicely balanced maltiness with a fresh barley note. An outstanding bitter.

Brilliant bitter. Wateredge Hotel, Ambleside. Lovely peppery hop aroma. Slides down a treat. Lingering hop finish. Very refreshing and becoming ubiquitous in the Lake District.

Nice wet cream head. Over nice copper body. Very nice creamy mouth feel, feels and looks almost like it was cask but I do not think it was. Nice clean crisp English hops with some light apple flavor.

Cask @ Old Toad. what a beer! a great english bitter. Zangy hop taste, with a wonderfully challenging bitter finish. I would drink this over most other beers on tap at my local english pub. Taste goes a little flat and dry, but that probably because im drinking it in america.
