Smells like sour apples and british hops. The bitterness is balanced well with the smooth mouthfeel. This is like a pale ale with a unique bitter bite and a hint of sour saison flavoring in the finish. Great beer from the blokes across the pond. lol

Bottle. Poured a clear gold colour, with a thin white head. lovely fresh american hop aroma, also with a very slight citrus, aroma as well. Flavor is of malt, with plenty of fresh hops and a light bitterness. One of my favourites and a lovely beer.

Deep copper body with a frothy white head. Big Mt. Hood hops balance out this scrumptious English ale. Citrus astringency from a nicely shaped bottle makes this one of the coolest session beers from Great Britain. Love it!

Thanks Jesse. This one pours amber honey color a froth that creeps up a couple fingers then recedes slowly to a full downy canopy with some snail tracks down the glass. The lacing lingers the whole drink. Mild aromatics ply softly. Medium nectar with ample residual effers. The texture is quite creamy though. Flavorwise this brew is a classic bitter. Fresh hop flavors kill my palate and leave a stinging bitterness. With only a mild malt profile this brew has complexities ranging from citrus to caramel and butterscotch. The finish is bittered well leaving a parched smile on my face. I don’t understand the Golden Ale label from RB. If you are looking for a complex ale with full bittering, this is it.

500ml bottle from Hog’s Back Bottle Shop. I know I’ve had the original version before because my brother bought me it and a Bluebird glass for Christmas last year. But I failed to rate it. Oops. This is golden with a thin white head. Nice Mount Hood hop aroma. Some pale malt and some citrus fruit aroma. Good in mouth with nice malts balancing the hops. Nicely balanced juicy malt and then hoppy, but not too hoppy, finish. Extremely drinkable. Would like to have this on cask in a pub on an autumn day after a walk and I have a feeling I would sink at least half a dozen pints of this. Not exceptional, but really drinkable.

Bottle bought in England, but clearly intended for North America as the label reads ’Imported by Shelton Brothers, Belchertown MA’. The sweet, hoppy aroma and citric flavour of this amber beer make it reminiscent of a transatlantic product. The result is pretty good, but one wonders what the point was. By the way, Belchertown sounds a cool place.

Bottle conditioned. Golden colour with a slim white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, pine and spices. Nice hoppy taste with balancing malts. Medium mouthfeel lightly carbonated. Very drinkable. Very good.

Gold color, small lingering head. Slight aroma of malt and straw. Significant carbonation, somewhat rich body. Amber malts, floral hops, not too big or bitter but rather easy drinking and tasty.
