(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Pours a light copper color with a thin but creamy white head. Aroma is very light. Somewhat sour but mainly dry and grainy. Flavor is very light with a slight fruity flavor and a finish that’s rather dry with a touch of hops. Definitely not what I was expecting from this beer.

Bottle. Muddy brown beer with a light head. The aroma is weak, roasted, dry and slightly sour. The flavour is sour and lightly fruity dry. Overall a disappointing beer.

Best by 6/13/2006. Cloudy darker amber, moderate head and decent lacing. Aroma is spiced with notes of nuts, caramel and a hint of hops. Flavor has a strong spicy flavor, I know what it is but I can’t pinpoint it. Almost a Belgian flavor. Decent and different.

Bottle conditioned. Amber coloured with a slim white head. Sourish fruit aroma reminiscent of somethin Belgian, with malt and spices. Some sourness in the taste, fruity, spices again - perhaps more herbal edging medicinal. Medium bodied. A bit strange but good.

Lovely and different. Frothy head with lasting lace. Bright amber pour. Sweetness throughout. Then a quick turn to the sour side. Grapey. Spicey. Fruity. All great things.

Good amber/brownish color, small but long lived off white head that managed to leave a small lace behind. The aroma was fruity and slightly spicy with a sweet malty side.fruity and slightly medicinal in the beginning, the flavor later turns to a semi sweet malty taste with some citrus notes and maybe even a bit of a spice or herbal thing going on as well.It finishes up nicely with a bit of a semi sweet fruity taste.Oer all i’d have to say the experience was a good one.Fairly easy to drink brew with some nice flavors and not to much of eather one to make it sickening,so balanced nicely IMO.well worth trying again.
