50 cL bottle. Smells like ripe stone fruit. Orange tinted/copper colour with a white head that sort of filmed, but left tatters of lace. It is full bodied, and the carbonation is quite mild (appropriate for a bottle conditioned ale). The flavor is something like dilute ripe apricot backed by caramel malt and bitter. The finish is sort of fruit and bitter. It’s a wonderful match, but the subtle complexities strain my sensory faculties. The fruit aspects develop with warming. The bitter is satisfactory, but not extreme. Does this brewery have a less than wonderful ale? Amazing.

Tried at Pizza Port’s Real Ale festival from bottle. Orange yellow color. Mild malty aroma. Kind of average good beer. Not bad, but not interesting.

The aroma has plenty of grassy and piney hops as well as funky basement smells. There is also earthiness, malt, nuts, and butterscotch. The appearance is amber with a somewhat average head. The flavor is just like the aroma with a bitter minty finish. The palate is a tad thin for my tastes but overall an interesting beer none-the-less.

This old ale pours a medium amber gold color from a 50cl bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, fruity and slightly hoppy. A medium bodied old ale. Malts are caramel. slightly malty an sweet with a touch of cherry. Hops are citrusy and earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. It’s a very drinkable ale, a touch bland, but interesting. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours bright amber into an English pint. Crisp white micro head with excellent retention. English hop and malt aromas. Soft with upfront caramel and a slight metallic flavor that really detracts. Lasting bitter hop finish.

Nice copper color with a head that is huge to start but dissipates quickly. Aromas of leather and malt. Taste is slightly bitter, ESB style, and metallic. Overall it is a little thin and quick to finish. Nothing incredibly exciting here.

My glass is filled by a beautiful, copper-red beer with a huge and lasting head. The aroma has notes of fruit/hops and caramel. The flavour is nice, dry and citrussy, and the aroma hops gives a lot of fruit and the malt gives caramel. It’s a nice ale...

500cL bottle. Dark orange amber color with a large off white head. Very appealing sweet aroma, with some earthy, wild ale aroma. Sweet toffee flavor up front with some spice in the background. I enjoyed the beer up until this point, but the finish is bitter and a bit metallic and doesn’t seem to fit. smells much better than it tastes.
