Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, apricot).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Blind tasting, I’d say this was an APA. Regardless, it’s rather simple and formulaic in character, but certainly an acceptable quaffer. Aubrey (2778), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2005 Amber-red hue; mostly clear; thinnish head, but fingery lace patterns. Light body (but not necessarily watery); moderate carbonation. Nice malt flavors; very toasted, bready, and toffee-ish. Kind of like an amped-up Fat Tire. Mild bitterness (flowery). Clean-tasting beer that’s pretty easy to drink. Nice session beer.
