Aroma is loaded with corn, wheat cloves, and belgian yeast. The smell distinctly reminded me of being at Summerfest the week before and smelling the roasted corn they were selling everywhere. Flavor is extremely corny as well with some sweet and spicy notes asl well. Finishes surprisingly bitter and dry. Not a big fan of this one. 1FastSTi (2579), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

The flavor is sweet maple pecan granola, herbal/grassy hops, and light brown sugar. Sweet medium body. TomDecapolis (3197), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Draft at Craft. Pours deep coppery with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is rock sugary malt, hopcitrus, peppery, spicy yeast, spruce. Tastes spicy, yeasty, very sprucey, with hopcitrus and floral notes. Arguably the spruciest beer I have ever quaffed. fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 18, 2009 Bottle. This was a corn bomb to me. Odd since nobody else got that...Perhaps a revisit is in order. Flavor had stronger yeastiness, breadiness, and clove/pepper character to offset the corn than in the nose, but again, the corn was pretty overbearing for me. Aroma of yeast, corn, breadiness. Flavor of sweet fruits (apple, pear) upfront with a bready/yeasty and spicy finish. Pretty good tripel.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Pours a transparent deep golden brass color with a large rocky pillowy white head that leaves a bunch of clumpy lacing behind as it subsides. Aroma of sweet doughy Belgian yeast and light fruity esters with a touch of clove spice. Body starts with good fullness and finely dissolved carbonation with lots of good biscuity malty sweetness and a light balance of grassy bittering hops before a semi-sweet finish. Nice complexity and drinkability and very true to style.
