Nose like toasted white bread, sweet marmalade, and creamed ripe banana. Sweetish taste, mild bitterness. Lively carbonation despite fairly full body. Backtaste of banana, pineapple juice, rum, but alcohol subdued enough. A bit sweet and strong to be useful, but still damned interesting.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Nov 8, 2009 I’m not usually disposed towards dry golden beers of the Belgian variety, but Valeir Divers knocked my socks off... When I was asked to describe the taste, the first term that came was "aristocratic." It is dry without being weak or unduly bitter, having almost a savoriness to the flavor instead. This is what Duvel would like to be when it grows up. argo0 (6951), Washington DC, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 27, 2009 LIght straw color with a voluminous off-white head. Fluffy head lasts for the entire quaff. Pale malt, grassy hops and a hint of light fruit in the aromas. Some really nice scents buried deep, but I really had to search for it. Pale malt, honey, and hints of alcohol in the flavors. Touches of floral hops in the middle. Light pepper and alcohol in the finish. Some rough parts surrounded by some really nice edges. anders37 (4747), Malmö, Sweden
