gary07734 (210), Tyne & Wear, England Aug 9, 2008 Updated: Sep 20, 2008 Pint in Newcastle. Nice dark cola-brown pour, smell of malt. Taste is distinct malt, spices, cinnamon, no alcohol. Pretty good in my opinion.
downender (1725), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Nov 29, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 29/11/08 as ’mulberry dark’. Chestnut brown with reddish undertones and an off-white head that left attractive lacing down the glass. Aroma of dried fruit, spice and a hint of roastiness. Flavour began with some caramel, before preserved fruits, cinnamon and a bitter finish. Original and very good. maeib (4106), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England May 2, 2008 Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A dark brown beer with a tan coloured head. The aroma has smoky notes, burnt malts and caramel. The taste has coffee notes together with more swet caramel and a hint of burnt malt. Pretty nice.
