The head was perfect, with great german lace. Nice and balanced chocolate and roasted smell. The Porter was a great and balanced Porter. Not a stout for sure, it was done right and I loved drinking it.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 30, 2009 Pours an opaque dark brown. Thin tan head with decent retention and lacing. Mild aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet for a porter with notes of molasses and black licorice. Medium bodied with a dry finish. Not a great stout by any means, but a solid entry for a new brewer. Soonah (975), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

The aroma is roasted, smoky malts and light chocolate. The flavor is smoky malts, thin coffee, a bit of chocolate and some hops in the background on the finish. The mouthfeel was thin to medium in body. Felt a tad like a homebrew. Slightly unrefined. jzzbassman (850), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

Aroma Chocolate, Coffee, maybe a hint of carmel.
Flavor is outstanding. Delicious Chocolate, Coffee notes of the dark roasted malts that you would expect from a porter.Noticeable sweetness but Very well balanced. Incredible thick and velvety mouth feel. I had this beer by itself, but I imagine this beer would go great with some hearty food or even a chocolate desert!
This is an outstanding beer from a new and exciting new brewery in Oklahoma City.
Highly recommended!
