Commercial Description:
Crisp and clean, Horny Toad is a premium craft cerveza with just a hint of Noble hop bitterness to balance the pilsner malt body. Horny Toad is a true Oklahoma original and great introduction to craft beer and COOP Ale Works.

Enjoyed at the brewery on tap. This is a good very drinkable beer. It taste like a well balance blonde. Carbonation was perfect, appearance was crystal clear and a beautiful gold. The flavor was right on a great balance between hop and malt. Not to dry a hair sweet. A beer that is great for a summer day or for a long day on the lake.

Pours straw small head. Everything light, with a grassy hop presence. Nothing exciting.

Cloudy straw, medium head, lots of lace. Bready, sweet aroma. Strange buttery nutty flavor dominates with a pleasant alcoholic kick. A little on the flat side, with a few light floral notes. Asdie from carbonation issues, excellent especially since this is a new brewery.

An OKC brewery’s attempt to make a local version of Corona. On tap at Iguana (9th and Broadway). Pours a clear golden orange color. Thin white head with decent retention and lacing. Not really much aroma to speak of. Flavor is similar to Corona, but without the skunkiness that always seems to accompany it. Smooth, medium mouthfeel. Clean finish. If’ you’re in the mood for a Mexican style pilsener, this one isn’t bad, But you can do better if you’re looing for good beer (see Coop’s DNR).

On tap at the 51st Speakeasy in OKC. I’m not one for Pilseners, but this one is pretty good. Clean aroma with a flavor that has hints of lemon and wheat. Mouthfeel is smooth with a clean finish. This is different than most lagers and would be very refreshing on any hot, Oklahoma day.
