Commercial Description:
You want bitter? You got it! Very malty with a strong roast barley flavour. Black as pitch and so thick you could just about eat it with a spoon. An excellent stout.

Bottle thanks to beerbill! Pours a nice deep brown, nearly black colour, with pretty much no head. Smells of dark chocolate and roasty malts. Flavour is bitter from roasted malts at first, then it smooths out a bit and finishes off with smooth dark chocolate kind of flavour. There’s a slight spicyness to it. Carbonation seems a little high for a stout, but it is fairly thick.

essa Foreign Stout australiana apresenta leve aroma maltado, com notas de grama, de chocolate amargo, café forte e tostagem (7/10). Em termos de aparência, a espuma inicial é grande, de coloração bronze claro e curta longevidade. Boa formação de colarinho, corpo de claridade opaca e coloração negra (3/5). O sabor inicial, além de apresentar uma presença frutaeda, é levemente doce e amargo, mudando para um leve e agradável amargor em seu final de curto duração (5/10). O paladar é composto de um corpo médio-leve, textura seca e rala, carbonatação borbulhante e final levemente alcoólico e com gosto de giz(2/5).

Bottle courtesy of Slipstream. Pours almost pitch black with a ruby tint and a medium light brown head. Unfiltered with a lot of hops floating around. Aroma of dark roasted malt, dark coffee beans and dark chocolate. Taste of bitter roasted malts, dark chocolate with a hint of dark coffee.

Dark brown almost black pour. Pretty good, off-white head that stayed for a while. Pretty good lacing. Nice dark chacolate and dark malt aroma. Tastes of dark roasted malt, dark roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Enough hop bitterness to balance out the flavors. This had a good, medium bodied mouthfeel. Pretty easy to drink.

Black pout with copious tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, and heavily roasted, though not burnt malt. Vanilla and coffee as well. Flavor is very sweet for a stout- mocha and roasty malt dominate. Lots of chocolate and coffee. Palate is dissapointingly thin- almost watery. Would be exceptional if not for the horrendously thin body and completely non existant aftertaste. Nice though.

Appearance: Pours pitch black body colour, carbonation is practically not visible because of the body colour, there is practically no rubby hue when taken under the light, head is small but firm and practically lasting in 100% of initial size. Head colour is brown and head is thick in its texture. There is fair lacing.
Aroma: Nice deep and essential roasted barley, notes of honey, fresh citrusy hops, clementine, orange peal, burned sugar, some easy distinguishable notes of caramel, resin, burned wood, creamy, notes of cappuccino.
Flavour: Dusty nose, very bitter roasted barley, coffee, coco, dark bread, burned peanuts, cherries, wood, resin, very essential and focused taste, alcohol is felt in a moderate way, some accidity and minerality, alcoholic warmth on palate, orange peal and clementine, citrusy accents from Australian hops. Finish duration is long. Very strong bitterness at finish, with pronounced burned - roasty touch.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is dry to creamy, carbonation on palate is mild, finish feel is moderate to heavy astringent, dusty to chalky and moderate alcoholic.

Pitch black, long lasting cafe au lait head. Strong malty notes of liqourise, over ripe fruit, dark chocolate, some pepper developes in mouth. Flavour is sweet in beginning but a good bitternees wins the long finish.
