Commercial Description:
You want bitter? You got it! Very malty with a strong roast barley flavour. Black as pitch and so thick you could just about eat it with a spoon. An excellent stout.

Pitch black, long lasting cafe au lait head. Strong malty notes of liqourise, over ripe fruit, dark chocolate, some pepper developes in mouth. Flavour is sweet in beginning but a good bitternees wins the long finish.

Pours a dark brown to black with a nice brown head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, fruit and coffee. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, roasted barley and a little smokiness. Decent stout.

pours a dark opaque woody brown with a medium sized pale cocoa colored head. smells like a toned down baltic... chocolate, malty grain, dark fruit and some faint licorice. the flavor is chocolate, light smoke, fruit/cherry/raisin?, cream, grassy hops and a tart coffee-ish finish. black coffee is present in the aftertaste. medium body. rich creamy texture and a slightly acidic mouth feel. way better than i was expecting...

The beer pours a totally black brown with a thin off white head that doesn’t hang around. The nose is a great mix of burnt malts. Bitter sweet chocolate and coffee. The taste is right in step with the nose; a slightly bitter mix of chocolate malts and coffee.

Bottle. Black. No head. Aroma is little grassy, coffe and dark chocolate. Taste is from coffee and liquorice. Medium dry and quite light brew for beeing a stout.

Aroma: milk, coffee, roasted, chocolate, tobacco, burnt.
Flavour: sweetish, milk chocolate, caffè latte, pretty mild & soapy.
Palate: sappy, milky & fizzy. Slightly fat & bubbly.
Appearance: blackish brown with dark beige head. Pretty nice.

Pours a clear black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted grain and malt. Roasty sweet caramel malt and chocolate flavor. A bit thin on the palate. Not bad for a six pack stout.

A stout on steroids- looks, feels, smells and tastes great. A nice blend of bitter and sweet. This came as a beer of the month club item, and I usually dread when they ship a stout; but I’d actually buy this onr. I’ve never said that about a stout before; even if it came from Ireland; and you know who I mean.
