The taste is roasted and dry, notes of coffee, chocolate, cream, and vanilla. Sweet, roasted and dry finish. Medium bodied and easy to drink. This was a nice surprise.

Apr 24, 2008 12.7 oz. bottle. Pours black with many large bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass. Thin light brown head that faded to a film after the first two sips and left sheets of lace after each sip. Light but pleasant aroma of roasted malt. The flavor is predominantly roasted malt with a somewhat bitter finish. Light on the palate and overcarbonated for a stout.

Apr 23, 2008 375ml bottle at the Aussie Bar, Helsinki. Black with a tan head; coffee aroma; milk chocolate flavour, with a salty bitter finish. Very pleasant but lacking depth.

Apr 22, 2008 (375 ml bottle from Systembolaget) Black color, smallish brown head. Sweet, smooth, raissin, roasted, alcohol and chocolate scent. Salty, raissin, ashes, roasted, coffee taste. Metallic aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel. Medium high bitterness.

Apr 20, 2008 Pours out black with a small lively tan head. Aroma is of some roasted malt and coffee maybe some grassy notes. Very lively carbonation. Taste is roasted malt and coffee, maybe some chocolate. Overall mouthfeel was a bit thin and a little more actively carbonated than I would have though.

Apr 19, 2008 Poured from bottle, unfortunately straight from the frig, but I couldn’t wait.Nice black body with very slight brown head quickly fading.First taste is fresh, roast malt, and dark chocolate, with a slight pleasant yeastiness. Next came a more pronounced bitterness suffused with warm chocolate and nuts. Finish satisfying nuts and hint of fruit with a dash of bittersweet chocolate...what a treat!

Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours black with a decent brown head. Licorice and coffee aroma, roasted, a bit smoky and with some bitterness. Malty chocolate flavor, roasted, some tar, some smoke, nice bitterness growing in the back. Dry, smoked finish with hops.
