| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Nice 12.7 ounce bottle - 375 ml, half a fifth! I will save this for home brewing. Solid-looking label too. A black brew with a thick, tan head. There is a strong aroma of alcohol, yeast, malt, and hops. The flavor is coffee and roasted grains, plus some Coca Cola too. This is not heavily hopped. I remember first trying this stuff years ago and being floored by its bitterness and intensity. It is mellower now, and it tickles the palate. An honorable stout from down under. robinvboyer (1442), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

Thank you, Kitchen Pass for stocking it. Jet black body, cream head, good lacing, roast, coffee, and chocolate flavors from the malt. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Had this at a beer fest. Man this is gravy. I like it a whole bunch. It’s aromatic with huge roasty barley and malty overtones. It’s appearance is black as oil. It’s full of brown head, and overall it’s sexy. It’s flavor is roasty and toasty, super malted. It’s palate feel is adequate, with a bunch of bitter notes. Awesome! bigrond (1054), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

Very nice beer with a light smoke aroma and a nice taste of the roasted malt, coffee and liquorice. Reminds me a bit of Lion Stout and both these beers are very price worthy.
