Commercial Description:
You want bitter? You got it! Very malty with a strong roast barley flavour. Black as pitch and so thick you could just about eat it with a spoon. An excellent stout.

This was unexpected! Very nice beer with a light smoke aroma and a nice taste of the roasted malt, coffee and liquorice. Reminds me a bit of Lion Stout and both these beers are very price worthy.

(Bottle) Pours out in a dark brown colour, bordering to black with a small pale brown foam. Toasted malts, crackers, cocoa-powder and nuts in the aroma. Medium bodied with dry flavours of cocoa, dark unsweetened coffee and nuts. Medium-bitter finish of black coffee and nuts.

Pours dark black with a small brown head that disappears rather fast. The nose is licorice and toasty, roasted malts. Nice dark chocolate also. Definite dark roast on the flavor. Has a nice finish without being burnt or too bitter.

375ml bottle: Pours inky black with a creamy dense dark tan head. Big sweet chocolate aromas that are nicely balanced with roast. The roast doesn’t quite make it to burnt. Nice malt notes with just a touch of sweet sherry. In the mouth it is quite tame compared to the aroma. smooth chocolate with lightly roasted grains. The high carbonation then kicks in and pushes roast through your nasal cavities. This becomes a full blown stout in the aftertaste, but is always just a bit too mild upfront. Cold brewed coffee with a dose of cocoa powder. A very slight bubblegum hides out in the finish. Perhaps a bit thin but nice overall.

Bottle (35 cl) from Systembolaget. Black with a fluffy beige head. Roasted aroma with some notes of chocolate, slightly smoked. Medium bodied and smooth. Well balanced. A solid stout.

Nice stout, well balanced with dry roast and bitter finish over a smooth, well bodied beer.

Bottle, pours black with a brown foamy head. Aroma carries bitter chocolate and roasted coffee, maybe just a touch metallic. The moderately dry palate is still quite smooth, with some sweetness to the roasted malt, with hints of licorice.
