Commercial Description:
You want bitter? You got it! Very malty with a strong roast barley flavour. Black as pitch and so thick you could just about eat it with a spoon. An excellent stout.

Rich and nicely carbonated, with a dark tan head. Doesn’t have the thickness I expected, but has a deep, rich, fruity taste, with a slight licquorice aroma. Bitterness came through towards the end, with a strong hit of cherry thrown in. Went superbly with chocolate aswell.......

Bottle. Mild roasty aroma. Black body, light brown head. Flavor is roasty, fairly mild, with a somewhat thin body. Pleasant, but not outstanding.

Smells like chocolate covered banana’s with prunes and a little roasted malt. Nice aroma. Thick, black body with lots of sediment. The small brown head dissapears quickly. Very roasted flavor with chocolate, wood, and a yeast character that brings out various dried fruits. Hints of licorice in a semi-bitter finish. Actually a pretty complex yet drinkable stout. I didn’t like their pale ale, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I will definitely have this again.

Shared 750ml bottle with a chocolate mud cake. A solid black beer with a healthy brown head. Roasted malt aromas of mocha and nuts. Flavour is cafe mocha with a hint of liquorice and brine. Full bodied and filling. A subtle bitterness to the finish. Definitely not sessionable. A nice dessert beer.

Black in color with decent tan head.... Lots of sediment suspended in the stout... Malt aroma... Rich roasted malt flavor... Hints of chocolate and coffee in the flavor.... Finish is slightly malty without much bitterness and alcohol content is not noticeable.. Very solid stout.

Standard stout appearance, with sizable head. Chocolate and lactose aroma. Flavor less pronounced and somewhat watery, but later developing the flavor of limestone and minerals. Slight cinder flavors at end, but mostly a nice long and calm bitterness that is easy to enjoy.
