Commercial Description:
You want bitter? You got it! Very malty with a strong roast barley flavour. Black as pitch and so thick you could just about eat it with a spoon. An excellent stout.

Aroma of liquorice and alcohol. In a good way. Smoaky, roasty flavour with liquorice, some acidity and a bit of bitterness on the finish. Nice surprise.

This had a very strange sour, metallic taste. I’m tempted to say it was skunked, but I don’t think so. Just not enjoyable. I’ll try this one again and rerate later.

Dark as night, with complex flavor profile. Coffee, malty, then strong bitter finish. Not one to take lightly. Very drinkable, above average stout.

Dark brown to black in color with a prett good size head that holds up. Very dark, hints of coffee, almost syrupy. Strong smells that have some chocolate and molasses. Thick body. Good but does not quite get to great.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown, some tan head. Looks great. Aroma is strong roasted barley, some smoky notes. Flavor is mostly malt, very roasty, very full tasting. I found the palate to be very lively for a stout, it makes the body seem thinner than it actually is. Overall a very drinkable stout.

Pours mostly black with a medium lived light tan head. Smell is nice and roasty with coffee and dark maple syrup aromas. Taste is roasty and coffee like with a touch of maple like sweetness in the flavor and a decent balancing bitterness. Medium to full body and normal carbonation. Flavor is fairly full and rich, surprisingly, and this definitely wasn’t bad at all.
