| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 1, 2009 This had a very strange sour, metallic taste. I’m tempted to say it was skunked, but I don’t think so. Just not enjoyable. I’ll try this one again and rerate later. meisterbrauMHB (53), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown, some tan head. Looks great. Aroma is strong roasted barley, some smoky notes. Flavor is mostly malt, very roasty, very full tasting. I found the palate to be very lively for a stout, it makes the body seem thinner than it actually is. Overall a very drinkable stout. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Pours mostly black with a medium lived light tan head. Smell is nice and roasty with coffee and dark maple syrup aromas. Taste is roasty and coffee like with a touch of maple like sweetness in the flavor and a decent balancing bitterness. Medium to full body and normal carbonation. Flavor is fairly full and rich, surprisingly, and this definitely wasn’t bad at all.
