Had it FedEx to Memphis cold, due to it being un-pasteurized. Looked and smelled better than it tasted. Could of been off due to the shipping, but still better than other mass produced "Bocks"

pours a fizzy white head with hazy reddish brown color. Aroma is some sweetness. Taste is sweet medium malt, nice. OK carbonation. Obviously a new batch since the ’04 group went through.

April 2004. Red amber in colour, with a phenolic paint thinner aroma, cigarette ahes from my ashtray. Vegetable taste, with phenolic farts. Body is OK....this is a perfect example of a beer with all the defaults , so i rated it a bit higher than my colleagues.

Reeks metallic dust and rusty caramel...Stale vegetables growing in a dump...Have you ever licked a keg?...

Sure does look nice - brown colour and very clear with fizzy white head. Aroma is rotting vegetables and metallic. It does not invite tasting. Flavour is not as bad as it smells but really not something you want in your mouth. Extremely thin. There are significant technical flaws with this beer. On tap at TapNY festival.

TAP NY sample. Simply terrible aroma of old shoes and urine; metallic, rusty flavor, spoiled sour milk, just a hint of malt in the nose and flavor keeps it from "spewing all over your fellow raters" category. Worst of the fest I think.

Amber body with an orange tint topped by a medium thick to thick fizzy off-white head with little lace. Sweet and fruity hop aroma with grassy notes and some maltiness. The aroma is good at first but smells more and more like old people as the glass is drained. Sweet and fruity hop flavor wtih grassy notes and a slight maltiness. The finish is slightly bitter from the hops. Medium bodied and smooth with a slight tingle from the carbonation.
