Commercial Description:
The flavour lies somewhere between our Sparkling Ale and Stout but the texture and appearance is less syrupy and cleaner. Coopers Dark Ale is top fermented in the traditional manner. A combination of dark and medium-roasted malt produces this rich, flavoursome brew that's especially satisfying in nippy weather.

This is basically like... dirty water. Very little to offer in the realm of flavor. Definitely pass on this one.

Poured out of 12.7 oz bottle murky brown with tan head and lacing. The aroma seems a tad off since I can smell some metal coming from a beer bottled in glass and served in glass. There were also light aromatic notes of roasted to burnt malts. The flavor comes across as coffee, black patent malts and chocolate. The body seems somewhat watery.

Bottle. Pours brown with slight beige head & some sediment. Some dark berries in the aroma. Overall, a light-bodied easy-drinker of restrained maltiness & dry finish.

Dark brown with a beige head. Wonderful fruit aroma. Unripe plums, kiwi perhaps? After that initial promise it’s all downhill: fizzy, watery, metallic. Slight dryness.

Very thin head, very simple. Has the appearance, aroma, and taste more like a root beer than a beer. Beer-wise, it tastes and smells like a very, very watered-down Newcastle. I drank it in the suggested "nippy weather," but it wasn’t especially satisfying.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a light aroma and a watery dry flavour. Overall an average watery and malty beer.

Dark brown, with lots of floaties. Beige foamy head. Weird aroma - I’m gonna say RC Cola, maybe? Cola is in the flavor, too - Cola and coffee. Kinda like one of those Coca-Cola Blak drinks, but less nasty. Anyway, odd but surprisingly tasty.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aromas are sweet earthy coffee with chocolate and some sulphur. Flavours are sweet cola with hints of lemon. Light roast character and not especially malty.
