Is this a stout or is it an ale, it seems to be both at the same time. It’s roasty toasty and yet clean. It’s dark brown in color. It’s flavor is roasty and flavor packed with malt and honey. It has a satisfying finish. I would like this on a cold day.

Medium head,back to lacey biege cover,good carbonation,beer is opaque,lots of sediment,some large.Aroma coffee,chocolate,smokey.Flavour,coffee,chocolate,b is a touch of metallic taste,spoils the drink,which is a little watery at the finish,with the coffee chocolate flavour.

(Bottle) Very grainy tasting, coarse, somewhat sour. A little bitterness, and to its credit, not much sweetness. Thin, however. Not the best beer, but perfectly drinkable. A richer body would make this beer much more enjoyable.

Bottle from the cave. Aroma is malty chocolate notes, grasys hop character. Taste is similar malty base is relitivly roasty however perhaps over carbonated.

purchased at world market in silverdale, washington. pour is a dark brown with a small beige head, good lacing. smell is woody, burnt caramel, sour malt, hint of brown sugar. taste is cola, malt, burnt caramel, some nuts, some molasses, bit sour end. as it warms it becomes more of a flat cola, with a touch of spice.

A nice dark brown pour with a creamy tan head. Aroma of roasty nuts and coffee. Good flavor too, with some coffee and malts. Slightly sweet. Good brew.

Bottle (375ml). Poured an extremely dark brown with a dense, light brown head which lasted well. Aroma was somewhat smoky with roasted chocolate malts, light coffee and faint licorice. Flavor was of roasted malts, faint coffee, milky chocolate, mixed nuts with a smoky/dry finish. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation, a watery texture, dry mouthfeel and a short finish.

Med-dark brown color. Nice nutty, milk chocolate and toffee nose. Malt accented with milk chocolate, caramel and hazelnuts in the mouth. Decent stuff.
