Jun 10, 2005 Draught at Transport Hotel, Melbourne. Hazy nut brown. Smooth and really chocolatey, fairly light bodied. Easy going. Low bitterness.

Jun 4, 2005 Bottled. Black opaque, small brown bubbly head. Toffeish, a bit roasted aroma. Toffeeish malty flavour with hints of roasted malt and honey. Finish is hoppy and semi-bitter. Rich carbonation.

Dec 28, 2005 (12.7oz bottle) Clear dark brown body with hints of red, topped by a beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, molasses, nutty, caramel, black cherry. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, some black cherry, when there is any flavor. Much of the time on the tongue, however, provides almost no flavor. Watery light-medium body makes it pretty drinkable, just a shame the beer itself is hardly worth drinking.

Mar 27, 2006 Bottle from Utobeer. Dark brown beer with thick lasting head. Subtle dark malt aroma, some choc, bit boiled in mouth. Nice yeast aroma. Choc finish. Bit like a brown ale. Fine if a bit dull but nice choc malt.

Jun 28, 2006 Dark brown color, very cloudy. Blackcurrant and chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Thin. Short aftertaste. Just a hint of tartness. Nice session ale.
