ebrowner88 (113), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2008 Dark pour. Un-impressive head but nice lacing. Dark and cloudy, full of floating shit. Nose is of malt and sweet pepper. Taste is slightly roasted and buttery. Warm woody finish. Good beer.
marcus (990), Sacramento, California, USA Aug 8, 2008 This black ale poured with a decent tan head. There is a thin nutty chocolate malt flavor, very watery. TaxiDriver (480), Stadland, Germany Aug 4, 2008 Bottle. Milk chocolate, very malty, light sour. Small off-white creamy head, normal long lasting, black sparkling body. Light acidic and bitter taste, rather short duration. Rather light body, dry and watery texture, lively carbonation. DTM (373), Winters, California, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle from World Market in Davis, CA. Poured a brown. Typical nutty taste, but not much flavor was there. Thin-bodied beer that left much to be desired. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t very good either. timfoolery (344), California, USA Jun 29, 2008 This brew seemed like a dark lager, but I didn’t see the brown ale there. It was a good brew at the end of a long night, but I couldn’t taste much at that point. ditmier (190), Boise, Idaho, USA May 31, 2008 2008 Bottle - Dk brown (go figure) with little head...toasted malt aroma, little else, flavour is pretty bland, subtle bitterness, subtle grain, slight toast, very meh, but I still kinda liked it, all the Coopers brews I’ve had would be nice and quenching in the hot australian sun, and consider the alternative (F word), ugh...
