Very grassy, hay-like aroma with a touch of noble hop spice. Flavour is a bit dusty and stale but there is some candyish sweetness. Adjuncts are noticible. I’ve had worse, but I’ve had a lot better. motelpogo (4395), Plzen, Czech Republic

You couldn’t just stick to what’s best (i.e. your ales and stouts), but for some reason had to offer this completely featureless, totally average bland macro-style pale lager. It’s alright I guess, but compared to what you are best known for, it’s a disappointment. bluevegie (2217), Perth, Australia

Aroma was a let down, it was dusty and off-putting. Taste was some malt and not much else going for it, still I managed to knock back a couple . | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Nov 1, 2002 Page gold clear with small short lasting white head. Adhesive tape, melted rubber and faint floral sweet hops aroma. Thin weak body, bland, flat, and a faint taste of cured meat yeast - that’s OK in a Strong Ale but what on earth is it doing in a lager. P-lease Mr Coopers, cease production of this revolting swill. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 4, 2004 I actually bonded with this beer in Adelaide, for the culture did not accept my type (The anywhere but Adelaide type). I drank it because it was beer, now a Cooper’s member I am safely back in Perth, where microbreweries rule, and I can pass judgement. Medium carbonation, medium-light body and a short aftertaste. Aroma is dull, if not there, of phenols and a slight malty backdrop. Flavour is coppery and slightly bitter, with small traces of malt and a hint of DMS (not a good thing). Cooper’s must have bowed to Macro-pressure to produce this one, still a decent brew that has it’s place.
