Commercial Description:
This ale is the product of brewing with a selection of barley and wheat malt, and with no added sugar. This traditional brewing approach provides the smooth malt character which is balanced by a triple hopping of the brew with Pride of Ringwood and Saaz hops. The brew has fermented similarly to its stablemates Pale and Sparkling Ale, with the customary secondary fermentation in the bottle and can.

[Can] Pours hazy pale golden with a good white head that diminishes after a short time. Aroma is not that good. Dusty, metallic, light maltiness. Taste is almost like nothing is there--sparkling water mixed with a dash of bland pale beer. The malt and some light bitterness do come out a bit as it warms, but still this is just...yeah. I guess it isn’t offensive, so things are looking up. Thin, shortish finish. Wow, I thought that following the trainwreck that is Southwark Bitter could have led to an inflated score, but no. I will probably be able to at least finish this one, but it is still really, really not good. I guess my attempt at style ticking succeded on this one, but having to subject myself to these last two beers has made it not worth it at all. I am going to go dig up some backlogged notes so that I can think of better beers.

375ml bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Pours a cloudy pale orange, with small, quickly subsiding head. Little aroma of hops. Bitter Flavour, with a bit of Bready malt thrown in. Watery mouthfeel. A disappointment from coopers. (if curious i reckon this beer could be roughly recreated at home by mixing 2/3 coopers pale and 1/3 water.)

375ml bottle. One of the more disappointing beers from Coopers. Poured a golden amber and sparkling colour with a clear and well carbonated body and a reasonable white head. Turns cloudy as the last of the bottle is poured. Mild hop aroma with a medium bitterness and flavour.

Draught. A pale straw with a thin white head. A light earthy malt on the nose. A hint of milk chocolate in the malty palate. Finish is a bit grainy and metallic.

Sampled in adelaide. A very nice brew. Low alcohol amount but still a well crafted brew. Light brown color and goes down smooth.

Bottle (375ml). Poured a murky yellowy orange with small chunks of sediment and a small frothy which was average lasting. Aroma was of oranges (mild) with some citrus and some bready and earthy notes. Flavor was very bland, thin and watery, with faint bready notes, hints of citrus, light honey, very light malt and a touch of bitterness. Light bodied with a lively carbonation, watery texture and mouthfeel with a short finish.
